Kaki Cetak is a two-person print studio. We draw the neighbourhoods we love, split them into two inks, and crank out small editions you can hold — misprints and all.

Run by two people & one stubborn machine.
We started Kaki Cetak because the city kept handing us material — wet markets, monsoon drains, kopitiam marble tables, the way afternoon light lands on five-foot-ways. It all deserved better than staying in our sketchbooks.
Every piece is drawn here, separated into two inks by hand, and printed sheet by sheet on a machine that predates both of us. When an edition sells out, it's gone. We'd rather draw the next one.

Ink, paper, patience.
Risograph printing is basically a photocopier that went to art school. One colour at a time, one drum at a time, no undo button — and that constraint is the entire personality of the print.
Sketch
Everything starts on paper — market stalls, monsoon drains, the view from the LRT. We draw the city we actually live in, not the postcard version.
Separate
The drawing gets split into two layers, one per drum: orange carries the heat, teal carries the shade. Deciding what goes where is the whole job.
Mix & load
Ink from the big tins, tweaked until the orange glows and the teal sits deep. Too much of either and the paper stops breathing.
Crank
Sheet by sheet, two passes, by hand. Registration drifts a little every run — which is exactly why no two prints are twins.
Marginalia, published.
Short entries about ink, markets and machine moods — the things that don't fit on a print label. New notes go to penpals first.

Saturdays are open-studio days: the drum runs, the fan rattles, and you can pull a small test print yourself. We'll share the exact address when you book — we're a small upstairs space and we like it that way.
